Author: Consumers have long been caught in the debate over synthetic leather versus real leather goods. Many people prefer synthetic items, purely because they cost less, or perhaps due to the “cruelty-free” factor. Others, however, will only purchase real leather goods, on the basis that the quality is incomparable to synthetic materials. Either way, it’s important to familiarise yourself with the facts – such as advantages and disadvantages – behind synthetic leather and real leather goods before making a purchase.
One of the first things consumers usually consider before making a purchase is the quality of a given product. High quality products usually offer better performance – not to mention, they also last longer. The same idea applies to real leather goods. Real leather simply offers better quality than synthetic leather. Synthetics are usually thinner, and are prone to cracking – which means the appearance of synthetic leather will diminish much faster than that of real leather. Subsequently, items made of real leather tend to last much longer than those made of synthetics – which means they don’t have to be replaced as often.
However, care is another point that consumers often take into consideration. While synthetic leather is easy to care for, real leather requires special care to last – for example, leather needs to be kept clean and treated with leather conditioner to keep the material soft. However, leather can be rebuilt if there is wear from abrasions, whereas the process is often not worth the cost with cracked synthetic materials. So, even though leather requires more care, it’s possible to keep leather items looking good for a long time with proper attention.

Indeed it fits everywhere and everyone: you can wear it, use it, decorate your home with or set your table, with Fouta as a tablecloth when you feel whimsical and creative. With Fouta you really can let your creativity fly with style, there are so many patterns to choose from. I went on a shopping spree and I chose many. Some to wear at the beach the way you would wear a pareo or a sarong. Some to wear as a shawl or a long scarf. Some to decorate my home (and found out that a very famous magazine has had the same idea…).
Some I am using in my bathrooms, their absorbency and lightness make them so easy to handle they are a delight, and some just to throw on the lounge chairs around the pool. One thing I particularly love about them: after your guests have left, you wash and dry them in no time an can pile them up for the next party.
I did some research and found out that the media was absolutely gaga over the Fouta, they were picked as the “10 Must Have” items, by a trend expert magazine, this summer. Last but not least, celebrities are being spotted everywhere wearing a Fouta from Miami to Mexico and from LA to St Tropez you can see them everywhere and worn by everybody: I guess I am in good company.

As we begin a new decade, it’s exciting to think about the fashion trends that lie ahead. Who would have predicted how this decade would have turned out if we were in this same position ten years ago?
Whatever may be in two or three years is probably entirely different from what’s en vogue now. As a result, it only really makes sense to focus on what’s right in front of us.
Let’s take a look at some of the hottest fashion trends for 2010. We’re only going to focus on women’s shoes, as these are my favorite things to right about. They’re also my favorite things to wear!
It seems like anything made by Christian Louboutin these days is hot. One pair that I particularly like is the reptile leathers. These have a ton of character and while they’re flashy, they definitely show themselves off in a good way.
Another fun boot is the Roberto Cavalli ankle lace. These glossy black leather boots have laces around the ankle with a pretty high heel to go with them.
Another surprising trend has been the emergence of thigh high heels. I personally don’t have the patience to wear shoes like these, but anyone who can pull this look off will look stunning in the right pair.
Finally, Hunter rain boots are back and in a big way. While many of us typically wear sneakers when it’s wet outside, a nice pair of Hunter Wellies is both practical and fashionable all at once.
They’re extremely comfortable too, making them a personal favorite of mine for rainy days.
